DIGITAL MARKETING + PROMOTIONAL PRODUCTS = SUCCESS - April 28th, 2011

Posted by: TJM Marketing Team

When it comes to marketing your business or organization, you’re looking for every advantage you can get today. In an ever-more competitive marketplace, you want your brand to stand out, to be recognizable above your competitors’ efforts.

If you’re selling products or services, either B2B or B2C, you need a coordinated marketing program. You need a plan that combines online, social media and traditional advertising.

Don’t overlook the advantages promotional products can give you. They might not be as flashy as web design, SEO and social media, but they can certainly contribute to your bottom line.

Some may consider promotional products old-fashioned, but how many other marketing methods get your name and contact information directly into prospects’ hands? They’re a time-tested way to get your brand known by your potential customers

.Lanyards, wristbands, dog tags, patches and other items put your logo or text right out where people can see them. Items you give away at trade shows put your brand into the hands of people who have a convenient way to remember your contact information when they’re ready to buy.

Ideally, you want a coordinated approach between your digital marketing, SEO and promotional products. TJM Promotions is the company to provide that balance. Our experts can guide you to the perfect mix to give your business that competitive edge you need.

If you’re ready to integrate digital marketing with promotional products to make your business soar, give us a call at TJM. You can reach us toll free, at 1-800-423-0449, or by email at service@tjmpromotions.com.

Digital Marketing - It's really about People! - April 19th, 2011

Posted by: TJM Marketing Team

OK, so you’ve established your company’s online presence. You have the website up and running. You’ve got the social media covered – you’re on Facebook, Twitter, maybe even a blog and YouTube. But how much does all your online marketing connect with people?

Social Media

Remember, when potential customers are viewing your digital marketing, they don’t want to interact with a machine. They want to interact with you. They want a sense that there’s a person who appreciates their interest, wants their business and will do their best to provide great customer service. They don’t care how elegant the code is behind the scenes.

If you really want to impress prospects, talk to them. All your digital marketing efforts should look and sound like there’s a real person behind them.  Yes, there is a “sound” to written text. Folks read with their eyes, but “hear” your writing voice and style. Treat them as you would if they walked in your door, not as a “demographic segment.”

Let’s say you sell cameras. If someone walks into your store, do you robotically extol the features of the Model XYZ-1 Super Shooter every time, or do you try to find out a little bit about the customer, and what they want their camera to do? Do you share a little bit of yourself with those prospects? That’s exactly what your digital marketing should do too.

Social media is about sharing, not hard sell. Whether on Twitter, Facebook, YouTube, blogs or other media, people want to see who you are, not just what product or service you want to sell them. They reject a constant stream of nothing more than “BUY OUR PRODUCT NOW! TODAY!” That’s just not what it’s about, and that kind of approach won’t work.

Remember, you’re talking to people. Conversation is the key to conversion.

What Color is Your hat? - April 12th, 2011

Posted by: TJM Marketing Team

So how’s your company’s Web presence these day? Are your online marketing efforts living up to your expectations?

White Hat SEO Techniques

If not, maybe it’s time to rethink your SEO strategy. If you’re not on the first page of search engine rankings, you’re not maximizing your online exposure. Getting there is the tricky part. There are ways to get to the front page of search results quickly, and ways to get there slowly. Which one do you want?

Think carefully before you answer. In many cases, the ways disreputable SEO marketers push your brand onto Google fast is through the use of so-called “Black Hat” marketing techniques. They’ll get you to the first search page. But staying there is another matter.

JCPenney and Overstock.com recently learned the risks of Black Hat SEO. Following a period of Black Hat techniques that shoved them to the top of the rankings for many searches, Google investigated. The search company cracked down hard, sending the rankings of both companies plummeting.

Two months later, Overstock.com has reported that the rankings penalty has cost it a 5 percent reduction in revenue. Black Hat SEO is to blame for a major financial hit to the company.

With search engine rules and algorithms changing frequently, it’s not always easy to keep up. If you want your company to have a solid Web presence that will stay where you want it, you need an SEO marketing strategy you can depend on.

That’s where we come in. TJM Promotions uses ONLY “White Hat” industry-accepted SEO techniques. Our digital marketing professionals are certified and up to date on the latest reputable SEO techniques. We won’t improve your search rankings overnight. But we will provide you with digital marketing you can count on.

TJM PRomotions Goes Hollywood! - April 4th, 2011

Locker 13 Patches

Pardon us if we're walking around with our shades on lately. We've gone Hollywood here at TJM. Well, not us exactly, but some of our great promotional products.

We recently had the opportunity to provide custom embroidered patches for not one, but two, Tinseltown productions. We supplied patches to the independent film Locker 13 and the television show Car Warriors.

Seven separate vignettes comprise the anthology feature Locker 13. All seven stories are linked by the mysterious locker with the scary number.

Car Warriors is the latest and greatest car customizing competition show on the Speed network. It's an intense, no-holds-barred reality competition between the best local customizing shops around the U.S.A. and a hand-picked team of all-stars to build the ultimate custom hot rod. Teams have just 72 hours to do everything - engine, suspension, paint, upholstery, wheels. Instead of "Iron Chef," this is "Iron Mechanic."

At TJM Promotions, we appreciate the trust the producers of these projects placed in our ability to deliver. Our custom embroidered patches, like all our great promotional products, are created for heavy-duty dependability in tough environments. Our staff is dedicated to high performance when it comes to delivering the right products at the right time and the right price.

Even with our recent success, we promise we'll never say "have your people call our people." We're always happy to hear from you, and we guarantee first-rate customer service every time you call or email.
